2022 Charity Partnership with Prinses Máxima Centrum - Sasma

Supporting Prinses Máxima Centrum is more than giving back to a deserving cause. This is the only Foundation in Europe that belongs to a small group of five pediatric oncology research centers worldwide. The medical research they do as an organization impacts the well-being of children around the world. We felt this was a great match at Sasma.

Research and care go hand-in-hand. Prinses Máxima Centrum provides vital funding for technological innovation and new cures, as cancer in children differs greatly from adult cancers. Each donation goes toward the following focus areas:

Neuro-oncology – Different types of tumors can have varying outlooks. Donations support critical new treatment options to save children that have been diagnosed with brain tumors and need intensive care.

Cellular Immunotherapy – More cancer research is needed to aid in the development of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. It is an alternative to chemotherapy, radiation, and stem cell transplant, which can have long-term side effects.

Talent Program – Máxima offers an excellent hands-on experience in pediatric oncology. Donations support clinical leaders (researchers and healthcare professionals), contributing to better healthcare.

Quality of Life – The Foundation supports the children and family members in every possible way. They want to ensure that their development can continue as much as possible while they are undergoing care or in remission. Donations will go toward the expansion of parent-child rooms and outpatient clinics
