The result is a colourless, odourless spirit — also referred to as Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), Grain Neutral Spirit (GNS), or Neutral Grain Spirit (NGS) depending on the market — that does not interfere with the flavour, aroma, or formulation of the end product. Neutral alcohol is typically supplied at 96% ABV, with higher purity options available at 99% and 99.9%.
