Base wine turning into something dandy
What is Brandy and How is Brandy made?
Brandy is distilled from base wine. The base wine is untreated and freshly fermented, rather acidic with impurities, sediments, and yeast residue. After distillation, these traces lead to a rich and full-bodied spirit. The Brandy is produced in Europe but also in the US.
The best brandy combines both wine and spirit tastes as it is a spirit made from wine. Brandy is aged in cask in for at least 6 months in casks of 1000 litres and even longer with bigger amounts. The minimum alcohol percentage needs to be at least 36%.
