What are the uses of pharmaceutical ethanol 96?
This ethyl alcohol is produced under GMP conditions, adhering to stringent production standards known as the GMP for starting materials. Ethanol 96% at a GMP-grade can therefore be used in preparations which can be injected into the body or bloodstream. Furthermore, ethanol 96% can be used in the production of pharmaceuticals and disinfectants, as a solvent in laboratory use, for sterilization and decontamination, as well as for medical device manufacturing. It is also commonly used for pharmaceutical production line cleaning and organic chemical synthesis.
Quality and Certifications
To meet the pharmaceutical and medical industry quality requirements our ethanol 96% complies with British Pharmacopeia (BP), European Pharmacopeia (EP), United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and Japanese Pharmacopeia (JP) standards. It is a kosher alcohol that is ISO certified, GMO free and has the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification.
Denaturing: denatured ethanol
If desired, this GMP alcohol can also be fully denatured in accordance with your government rules. The denatured ethanol becomes unfit for human consumption, thereby reducing excise duties.
