Canadian Whisky is a type of whisky produced in Canada. They are typically made from a blend of grains. While they may contain some rye, it’s not a strict requirement, and the blend can include corn, barley, and wheat.
For the last two centuries, in Canada, “rye whisky” and “Canadian whisky” have been used interchangeably, representing the same product as defined by Canadian law. Typically, this whisky is made with a minimal amount of rye grain. Canadian whiskies have gained international recognition and have a strong presence in the global whisky market.
