Genever is actually the predecessor of the London dry Gin as we know it. Traditionally Genever was produced in the Netherlands with a high percentage of Malt Wine which resulted in malty notes like whisky. Next to that it also resulted with a herbal component like Gin. This is the genever as we know it know: Oude and Jonge Jenever.


Genever can be bottled in two types:

  • Oude Jenever (old Genever)
  • Jonge Jenever (young Genever)
