What are the legal requirements for Irish Whiskey?
Irish Whiskey must be produced and aged in Ireland for a minimum of three years in wooden casks. It must be distilled to no more than 94.8% ABV and bottled at a minimum of 40% ABV. These requirements are defined by Irish and EU law and apply to all expressions Sasma supplies.
