Company
Are you a manufacturer or a trader?
Sasma is a trader, not a manufacturer. We source bulk alcohol and spirits from an extensive global network of distilleries and producers, giving customers access to a wide range of products — including those that are difficult to source directly. Our value lies in our supplier relationships, market knowledge, and ability to find the right product at the right specification.
How long has Sasma been operating?
Sasma was founded in 2002 in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. We have more than 100 years of combined industry experience across our team, and have been supplying customers globally across Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia for over two decades.
What industries do you supply to?
We supply to the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, industrial, electronics, and medical sectors. Our product range covers neutral alcohols, bulk spirits, organic alcohol, pharmaceutical grade alcohol, cosmetic grade alcohol, industrial alcohol, and specialty distillates.
Does Sasma own its own inventory?
Yes. We hold inventory for many of our products, which are available for immediate shipment. Where we do not hold stock, we work within our sourcing network to find solutions quickly. Contact our sales team to confirm availability for your specific requirements.
Where are your warehouses located?
Sasma operates warehouses in the Netherlands and the United States. Our new purpose-built warehouse and blending facility in Halsteren, Noord-Brabant — strategically located between the Port of Rotterdam and the Port of Antwerp — is now operational. We also hold inventory in the United States to serve North American customers.
Do you sell directly through your website?
Our website is informational only. We do not take orders through the website. To place an order or request a quotation, contact us by phone or email, or submit an inquiry here.
Products
What are your minimum order quantities?
Minimum order quantities are 1,000 litres for spirits and 10,000 litres for neutral alcohol and industrial alcohol. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements, including packaging format and shipment options.
What packaging formats do you offer?
We supply in ISO tanks, IBCs, and HDPE drums. Packaging options vary by product. Contact our sales team for availability by product and volume.
Visit our Logistics page for additional details.
Do you provide a price list?
We do not publish a fixed price list as pricing depends on product specifications, volume, origin, and market conditions at the time of inquiry. Contact us with your requirements and our team will provide a quotation.
What is the origin of your products?
We source globally. Our network spans distilleries and producers across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and beyond. For products with legally defined origins — such as Scotch Whisky, Cognac, or Armagnac — origin is confirmed and documented. For other products, origin details may be withheld to protect sourcing confidentiality. Full documentation is provided with every shipment.
What types of whisky do you supply?
We supply a wide range of bulk whiskies including:
- Scotch single malt
- Scotch blended malt
- Grain Whisky
- Irish Whisky
- American Bourbon
- Japanese Whisky
- Canadian Whisky
- European Whisky
Visit our whisky product pages for the full range.
Can you supply cream liqueur bases, and what is the difference between animal and vegetable cream bases?
Yes. Sasma can supply both animal and vegetable cream bases for use in cream liqueur production. Animal cream bases are derived from dairy and provide a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel suited to traditional cream liqueur profiles. Vegetable cream bases are plant-derived — typically from coconut, soy, or almond — and are suitable for vegan-certified or dairy-free formulations. Both options are available for B2B buyers developing or scaling cream liqueur products. Contact our sales team to discuss specifications and availability.
Can Sasma assist with blending and dilution?
Yes. Our Halsteren facility offers in-house blending, mixing, and dilution services. We can blend alcohols and spirits to precise specifications and dilute to exact ABV requirements using our reverse osmosis water system. This is available to customers requiring customised formulations or specific product strengths for downstream production. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Operations and Logistics
How long does delivery take?
Shipment times vary by destination and product availability. As a general guide, delivery takes between one and five weeks from order confirmation depending on your location. For customers requiring faster turnaround, products held in our Zoetermeer or Halsteren warehouses can be dispatched more quickly. Contact our logistics team for a specific timeline.
What are your payment terms?
We work with customers to establish payment terms that suit both parties. Contact our sales team to discuss terms for your specific requirements.
Do I need a licence to purchase bulk alcohol?
Yes. Licensing requirements vary by country and product type. Within the European Union, buyers are required to hold an EMCS (Excise Movement and Control System) licence to receive excisable goods. We can advise on what is required for your location and product. Contact us before placing your first order and we will guide you through the process.
How do I place a first order with Sasma?
Start by submitting an inquiry via our website or contacting us directly at info@sasmabv.com. Our sales team will discuss your product requirements, volume, packaging, delivery location, and any certification needs. We will provide a quotation and, if required, arrange a sample for evaluation before your order is confirmed.
