What is Organic Wheat Alcohol?

Our organic wheat alcohol 96% (Organic Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) 96%) is produced by fermenting and distilling certified organic grown wheat. Thank to it being distilled 5 times, this base spirit has a neutral smell, taste, clear colour and has low impurities.

Why use organic wheat alcohol as part of your distillation process?

As a neutral spirit, organic wheat alcohol is most associated with giving spirits a light dry finish. Organic wheat alcohol is therefore often used to make distilled spirits such as organic vodka or organic gin. Our organic wheat alcohol does not interfere with a spirit’s flavours because it is an extra neutral alcohol. Therefore, it is an organic neutral spirit which is widely used for blending. Our organic wheat alcohol is widely used in the distilled spirits and beverages, but also in the vinegar, cosmetics and flavour industries. How does organic wheat alcohol affect the taste of distilled spirits?

Organic wheat alcohol is a neutral spirit which means it does not have a significant impact on the taste of the final distilled spirit. It is often used to give spirits a light, dry finish and is especially popular in the production of organic vodka and gin. As an extra neutral alcohol, organic wheat alcohol does not interfere with a spirit’s flavors and is widely used for blending.

What is the difference between organic wheat alcohol and other types of organic alcohol?

The main difference between organic wheat alcohol and other types of organic alcohol lies in the raw material used for fermentation and distillation. Organic wheat alcohol is produced by fermenting and distilling certified organically grown wheat whereas organic rye alcohol is produced from rye and organic sugarcane alcohol is produced from molasses from organic sugarcane. Each type of organic alcohol has its own unique characteristics and can affect the taste and texture of the final distilled product. Organic wheat alcohol is known for its neutral taste and dry finish, making it a popular choice for distilled spirits such as organic vodka and organic gin.
